Don Reinfeld, Bow Maker

My studio

My studio is located on the 10th floor of the historic Columbus Building (glorious cityscape views and vista north to Lake Ontario) in downtown Rochester, New York, one block from the Eastman School of Music. There are many nearby options for parking, cafe and restaurant dining, shopping, and cultural activities (concerts, museums, theatre, libraries). Metered street parking and the East End Garage are free evenings and week ends. Commercial street-level lots are never free, alas.

This Detailed street map shows how to get to the intersection of Chestnut and Lawn Streets. The best entrance to 50 Chestnut Plaza is on the south side of Lawn Street two doors in from the intersection, just past the entrance to the Rochester Athletic Club.

Driving directions  to downtown Rochester from the west, east, and south.

Walking directions from the Eastman School:

  • take the Gibbs Street exit from the Main Hall and turn left.
  • At the end of the block cross East Avenue and enter the walking alley between Legal Lunches and the RGS building (the one with the clock).
  • When you come to the next cross street (Lawn Street), my building is in front of you.
  • Down to the right are four doors marked '50 Chestnut Plaza.' That is where you enter.

The shop is open most weekday afternoons by appointment, depending on my other commitments with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Whenever it’s more convenient, I’m happy to meet clients at my home in Brighton. Please call or email me for an appointment.
